First and foremost let me point out that you blog response technique is very creative. It was quite interesting. Moving on, I also read Persepolis. I was shocked to see a portrayal of God. Muslims are given a description of God in the holy Quran, however, the description is not detailed and it is pointed out that we could never come up with a portrayal of God, because our minds can never grasp how he looks like. Furthermore, I have never heard or read about someone who claims that they are Muslim and bluntly state that they do not follow the religion as a whole. Such Muslims are usually ashamed to do that.
I wonder what sort of subjects does the author tackle in her other graphic novels? Let me know when you are done with your second novel.

ReplyDeleteI liked Persepolis a lot, I didn't know there was a sequel but I'll put it on the list.
